Watch Kirsten Dunst Do Nothing in R.E.M.'s Music Video

Kirsten Dunst kinda fell off the Hollywood map for a while and now that she's back, she's really getting some serious face time in front of the cameras. First she was selected for the lead role in Lars von Trier's Melancholia, and now the actress nabbed a cameo in R.E.M.'s final music video for their song, We All Go Back to Where We Belong. It's a really good music video if you like the idea of having a staring contest with Kirsten Dunst for three and a half minutes. But if that doesn't sound appealing to you, then I suggest you get out now while you still can. Seriously, the video just consists of Kirsten looking around, staring off into space, and occasionally adjusting her hair (I know, crazy stuff). The song itself is delightful, but I'm not really grasping why Kirsten is in the video and what it is that she's actually doing. And if you thought the video couldn't get any blander, it's also in black and white, so you can't even distract yourself with pretty colors. But if you don't believe me, check out the video below. Just remember, you have been warned.

If the 30-second teaser for Beyoncé's "Party" video got you in the mood to buy neon-colored lipstick and eyeshadow and decorate your apartment with inflatable pool toys, then the full video (released today, shown below) will make you want to pack up all your American Apparel clothing, CLEAN OUT your nearest party store, rent all the rooms in the cheapest motel you can find, and take your steak knives to the pillows in celebration of just...celebration! Truly, this video will leave you dying to re-create a party so similarly extraordinary that no one will care when one of the gas grills goes up in flames, or think it's peculiar that guest is willingly mowing the grass. Also: FANNY PACKS! Give them all a protein shake because they're coming back.

Kris Humphries Was Not Kim Kardashian's First Choice

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries are the best known reality couple of the year. No one will ever be able to forget the details of their extravagant, fairytale wedding (even if you wanted to). But despite the romance they've portrayed on screen, rumor has it that Kris wasn't really Kim's first choice when it came to picking a husband.

According to Wetpaint.com, E! executives originally approached Danilo Gallinari of the Knicks to see if he wanted to date the reality star, promising him exciting opportunities like intense media publicity. An insider claims, "They asked if he would be interested in dating her and being on a reality show," since Kim wanted to date a big New York athlete for the debut of Kourtney & Kim Take New York, which premiered in January 2011.

So what went wrong? The source revealed, "Danilo said he would love to meet Kim but was not interested in dating her or being on a reality show. Even though E! explained it would be great for his career, Gallinari turned the offer down." Some people just don't appreciate the quality of a good PR stunt. So both E! and Kim dumped him as an option and moved on to the New Jersey Nets lineup instead. The rest -- as they would say -- is history. Personally I don't know why they even bothered with Danilo...his name doesn't even start with a "K."

It makes you wonder if Kris was presented with the same generous offer because if that's the case, he obviously jumped at it. But just because Kris wasn't originally Kim's number one man candy doesn't necessarily mean their love is disingenuous. Their relationship has gained copious amounts of media coverage and if there's one way to a Kardashian's heart, it's through press headlines.

The Daily Shuffle: Michael Lohan Arrested For The Second Time This Week

* Early Tuesday morning, Lindsay Lohan's dad, Michael Lohan, was arrested in Florida on suspicion of domestic violence when his girlfriend, Kate Major, told police that after she refused to perform oral sex on him, he grabbed her and threw her down to the ground a few times. Tampa police spokeswoman Andrea Davis told reporters Major had "some redness on her arms and some minor bruising." After Lohan was taken into custody, he complained of chest pains and was taken to the hospital and when he thought police left, he tried to check himself out -- but he was taken back to jail. And today, we learn that Lohan was arrested again -- this time, for violating the terms of his release by calling Major. Police told Radar Online that when they tried to go to Lohan's motel to arrest him, he jumped out of a third story window and ran from police, only to figure out that he broke his foot. And here we are, day in and day out, confused about Lindsay Lohan. - Radar Online, LA Times


* Steven Tyler maintains he wasn't drunk when he fell in the shower on Tuesday. Instead, he claims he was battling food poisoning and felt nauseous and just passed out. He acknowledges how some people will believe he relapsed on drugs and alcohol, but admits that it was nothing more complicated than some soap coming into contact with some water, I guess. - People


* British coroner Suzanne Greenaway announced Amy Winehouse's death was the "unintended consequence" of drinking too much alcohol yesterday. She concluded that it was "death by misadventure," and revealed that Winehouse's BAC was more than five times the legal limit. Greenaway determined the cause of death to be "alcohol toxicity." - People

Johnny Depp Criticizes Ricky Gervais Over Golden Globe Jokes

 

Remember how at this year's Golden Globes ceremony, Ricky Gervais stood onstage and joked that the characters in Johnny Depp's movie, The Tourist, weren't particularly believable or compelling, and essentially slammed Depp's acting skills? Right, well Depp finally got his revenge when he participated in Gervais' upcoming comedy series called Life's Too Short. In the clip provided below, we see Depp casually march into Gervais' office, toss a few cigarette ashes in his direction, and effortlessly demean Gervais' career and accomplishments. It's pretty enjoyable but the sad part is that we'll never get to see Depp's best work, because this is proof it indubitably takes place when teachers are trying to inform him of his kids' progress in school.

Ryan Gosling Says He Enjoys Practicing Ballet

Ryan Gosling dominated our hearts and our television screens throughout the course of his career, especially this past year. In the span of only three months, he's played the insanely ripped ladies man who eventually finds love in Crazy, Stupid, Love, the hotshot, disaffected driver in Drive, and now a borderline villainous political press secretary in The Ides of March. That's not to mention his heroic antics on the streets of New York City or his adorable relationship with his dog, George. Yup, whether you like it or not, Ryan Gosling is currently "in your face," so you might as well enjoy the view (and what a nice view it is). But despite the continuous publicity and media coverage, the actor still surprises us when he reveals interesting tidbits from his pre-fame life.

In an interview with the UK publication The Independent, Gosling reveals that being raised by two women (his mother and sister) caused him to permanently think like a girl and also resulted in his fascination with ballet. The Hollywood hunk opened up about the subject, stating, “I just feel like I wouldn’t know how to think any other way. My sister was my best friend and my hero growing up. Because I was home-schooled I didn’t have a lot of friends and I did ballet, which was always just girls. All of that had an effect on my brain.”

You wouldn't know it from looking at him (that six pack is anything but girly), but Gosling still maintains a certain interest in the evocative dance style. He says, “I practice whenever I can," but unfortunately hasn't had any free time lately. And even though he's not that good, his fellow class members (balletmates?) always offer him words of encouragement. He jokes, “A lot of the students are young girls so they’re there with their mums but they just kind of watch and tell me to keep it up. They try and be positive but I’m so bad. I don’t even know what I like about it but it’s like acting, I’m just compelled to do it and I do it to find out why. The not knowing is interesting.” How very sensitive and philosophical of him (I guess he really does think like a girl). So he thinks like a woman, but looks like a (hot) man -- he really is perfect!

Cher Lashes Out at 'Dancing With the Stars' Judges on Twitter

The judges of Dancing With the Stars are getting a lot of negative attention lately. First, Maksim Chmerkovskiy got upset at veteran judge, Len Goodman, for his negative feedback on Monday now Cher has decided to hop on the judge-hating bandwagon as well. The legendary singer went into an uproar about the way the judges have treated her son, Chaz Bono, on the show and thinks the comments they directed at him were totally unnecessary. But I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that he was voted off the reality show last night...

Here's what happened -- during Monday night's performance, Chaz was greatly offended when judge Bruno Tonioli compared him to a penguin and an ewok. Chaz took the remarks as a form of bullying and vocally expressed his frustration over the name-calling incident during a video confessional, which aired on Tuesday night's elimination show. After seeing this, Cher wasted no time in voicing her own opinions about the judges's comments about her son and immediately leapt to his defense via Twitter. She lashed out on the social media site, tweeting, “Going Home is Fine but why insult him b4 he Goes! Maybe Rudeness & Flapping Arms take the place of TALENT." She later continued on her Twitter tirade, adding, “The Chick is beautiful & Polite ! The Men suck." Well at least she's subtle.

While I'm completely against bullying, I can't help but think Cher and Chaz are being just a little bit too sensitive. These judges are giving comments on the fly and are only given a short amount of time to voice their opinions, so Bruno possibly just tried to use a metaphor to help make a point. They shouldn't have to watch what they say that closely in case it hurts someones feelings. Plus, they're judges! It's their job to be harsh (just look at Simon Cowell). So I'm not really sure why he made such a big deal out of it. His fellow competitors have all received similar (if not worse) criticism.

Robert Pattinson Is Insecure About His Body

Everyone feels insecure about their body at some point -- even celebrity vampires. In an interview with Mexican magazine 15a20, Robert Pattinson confesses that his Twilight co-star Taylor Lautner (and his abs of steel) made him feel completely insecure about his own body while filming the franchise. Lautner reportedly works out two-and-a-half hours every day and is widely known for his muscular appearance, so Pattinson decided it was time his character beefed up for his role in Breaking Dawn: Part 1.

So why care so much about how his body looks after making three Twilight movies? It seemed to have less to do with an ego boost and more to do with a certain sensual scene. The British heartthrob says he trained for six months to bulk up his body for the infamous sex scene with his real life girlfriend, Kristen Stewart. The actor explains, "You also have to worry about how you're going to look. I had never been so worried about that before, but after seeing how much Taylor works out for the movies, I thought, 'Well, everybody is really going to judge me now.' I always tried to think about positions where I could tense the muscles, and suck in my belly."

The Twilight star continued his exercise regime for Breaking Dawn: Part 2 as well because "the body of the characters seem to be a big deal," throughout the series. He further reasoned his workout obsession, stating, "In this movie, I thought, 'OK, it's the last one, I'm getting a six pack,' and I tried, but it's very hard. I worked out so hard for six months, so after filming the sex scene, the first thing I thought was, 'Time to eat!'" Not that anyone was really complaining about his physique to begin with, but this is something all girls (and some boys) could definitely sink their teeth into. If you weren't looking forward to the upcoming film before, you are now. A buff Lautner and an extra buff RPatz? Yes please!

Jason Sudeikis and Ashley Olsen Enjoy Each Other's Company

Ashley Olsen certainly seems to be a fan of funny guys. First she went after the adorable Justin Bartha, which sent fans into a jealous rage and now she has her eyes on SNL star, Jason Sudeikis. The pair were spotted with their arms around each other at the Tower Heist premiere afterparty, where eyewitnesses claim they got cozy and "snuggled" in a back booth. Jason was even seen putting "his arm around" the fashion designer throughout the course of the night. While this is about as exciting as an awkward teen date, all signs seem to point to the conclusion that these two are on their way to being a full-fledged couple...if they're not there already. I mean, don't let the cutesy wording fool you -- snuggling is serious stuff. Add spooning into the mix and you're looking at a long term commitment.

On a side note, am I the only one that still gets creeped out at the thought of the Olsen twins dating? They're my age, so it makes absolutely no sense, but when I look at them all I can see is the adorable Michelle Tanner from Full House who shouldn't even be thinking about boys (except for Howie just because that had to be the cutest Full House episode ever -- true fans will know what I'm talking about). Some celebrities are forever plagued with fans remembering them for a specific role and the Olsen sisters are a prime example. I just refuse to picture them all grown up (perhaps because they were substantially more popular back then than they are now). Either way -- long live Michelle Tanner!

Bruce Willis Expecting Fourth Child

While things may or may not be going very well in Demi Moore's...life, things in Bruce Willis's existence are about to get much brighter, as Life & Style reveals that he and his wife of three years, Emma Heming, are expecting their first child together. There's no information on how far into the pregnancy Heming is, but an insider told the magazine she is "showing," and even went as far to Heming is "living Demi's dream!" (which references the idea that for as long as she has been married to Ashton Kutcher, Demi has wanted to have his child -- but has been unable to conceive). Willis already has three children with his ex-wife, Demi: Rumer, 23, Scout, 20 and Tallulah, 17, and since he's 56 years old, there's also the (however unlikely) possibility he might not be terribly excited to go through all the newborn unpleasantries again (if you read the article on the L&S website, you'll notice how it doesn't give any indication that he's happy with the situation). But Emma's probably quite ecstatic, so congratulations to her. Willis has permission to come aboard the joy boat at any time.
