Katy Perry Sending Russell Into Orbit?

Talk about a real space cadet!
According to a British newspaper, "California Gurls" singer Katy Perry recently spent $200,000 on a plane ticket for fiance Russell Brand to literally leave the planet.
It's all courtesy of an airline called Virgin Galactic, which aims to have regular people rocketed into space. And, yes, "regular people" includes the wacky Russell, who would have to endure three days of training before the flight (and possibly shave).
"We are very excited to have him onboard," said a spokesperson for the company. "There will be 17-inch diameter windows to look out onto. Passengers will be able to view Earth around 800 miles in any direction from space." Does that include peanuts?
No surprise that Katy chose such an eccentric gift for her bf's 35th birthday. After all, this is same girl who dons whipped cream bikinis in her videos and likes to eat pizza in the tub.
